Eau De Pierlot is one third of a series of classic cologne type fragrances by Claudie Pierlot. It is a refreshing, commanding cologne in that it plays up the Orange Blossom from within its yellow jus.
On that first inhale of the warm blooming flowers I was captivated
It seemed fitting that in the evening of the day that I bought Eau De Pierlot I was standing among the orange groves atop Palatine Hill. What a happy coincidence that whilst the flowers of the bitter orange tree were not in bloom, my spirits were.
Two years later my adoration has bloomed for Eau De Pierlot. I’ve come to depend on it somewhat. The Parisian crafted flacon, heavy, elegant and simple has seen me through job interviews, nights out and days in the office. I feel confident and sure wearing it and never go through long periods without spraying myself all over with it.
I highly recommend Eau De Pierlot to lovers of colognes. It would be fitting for those who adore deep and sophisticated fragrances in their wardrobe or anyone who wants to feel the impression of a warm Mediterranean sun on their skin.
It was by sheer chance and surprise this wonderful cologne passed my nose. I found it in the stylish perfumery Pantheon70 in Rome. The Sales Assistant was trying his hardest to find me a patchouli laden odour, per my request. I was giving up after spending half an hour – which felt like I was being more of a nuisance than a customer. He asked me what I thought of fresh citrus fragrances, so I gave in and took a whiff of the mouillette.
On that first inhale of the warm blooming flowers I was captivated. I had never before smelled something so rich and deep from a citrus odour before. It was neither too masculine or feminine.
Tell me your thoughts on Eau De Pierlot if you've tried it. Did you like it? What did it make you think or feel? Or are you dying to try it?
